    Off Leash Training

Rick,

Kodi Bear and I had 2 training sessions with you–one at the end of September last year, and one near the middle of November. I want you to know that I was so pleased with those sessions that when it came time to write out the check, there was no hesitation. It was well worth it! After spending time and money at Petsmart and then wasting time and lots of money with another trainer, I was a little leery about trying again. However, I love and trust the vets and staff at the Dublin Animal Hospital, and when they recommended you, I was willing to give it one more try. I’m so glad I did!

Kodi Bear and I really enjoy our walks together now! I am starting the verbal commands now along with the collar. I am so amazed at how well he listens. It is so wonderful to be able to have him come outside with me, off leash, and know that he is going to stay right by my side and listen to me. Two days ago, he was outside in the front yard with me and caught site of a squirrel. He started to move forward but looked up at me before he did. I said “Uh, uh,” redirected him, and that was that. He came over to me, I praised him, and we went in the back yard to play ball and Frisbee. I never even had to use vibrate.

I have been having him come outside with me to get the mail without his collar just to see how he does, and he has been great. He stays right by my side. He stops and sits when I get to the mailbox, and I never have to say a word. I am getting more confident, and we are really enjoying our time together. He still gets excited when he sees other dogs and people, but there is no more jumping on them or rushing them. I want him to spend some more time with other dogs, so I will be taking him to [daycare] every week to help with that. I know he’ll love it!

At any rate, I just wanted to thank you so much for those 2 wonderful sessions and for teaching me how to work with Kodi. I highly recommend you to anyone I come in contact with who needs training for their dog. In fact, I’m trying to convince one of my dear friends to see you about their dog, who is definitely in need of some training. She has been thinking about it. :o)

With gratitude,

Deb
